Winter storm Scott
Winter storm Scott brought heavy snow to the midwest over the weekend, and has quickly moved into the northeast, where today it is disrupting travel and causing power outages. Areas of Colorado experienced over 2 feet of snow accumulation, while the northeast is expected to receive 4-6 inches. Winter storm Scott is the 10th significant large-scale winter storm to be reported by NOAA’s Weather Prediction Center in 2019; you can see their summary here.
Tornado activity – Alabama and Georgia
An outbreak of tornados occurred to the south of winter storm Scott on Sunday, with multiple confirmed tornados in Alabama.
