Severe thunderstorms take aim at Florida, southeast coast

Severe thunderstorms with damaging winds, large hail, and possible tornadoes threaten Florida and the southeast coast today, after causing significant damage in parts of northern Alabama and Georgia yesterday (source: AccuWeather).

Florida cities that are within Tuesday’s threat zone include Jacksonville, Clearwater, Lakeland, Daytona Beach, Melbourne, Tampa and Orlando.

Savannah, Georgia, and Charleston and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina are also at risk for severe weather.
