Typhoon Mekkhala Moving Towards Landfall in Southeast China
Storm Activity: 8/9/2020 – 8/10/2020
Tropical Storm Mekkhala formed from a tropical depression today in the West Pacific basin, and is the sixth typhoon of this season. Mekkhala is moving towards the province of Fujian in China, where it is expected to make landfall on Tuesday morning. Heavy rains and strong gales are forecast for the coastal province.
