M 6.4 earthquake strikes Indonesia

A M 6.4 earthquake struck near Lelongken, Indonesia at 6:45 p.m. Saturday ET, on the popular tourist island of Lombok. The strong quake damaged more than 1,000 homes and killed at least 14 people.

The quake was felt in nearby Bali, where no damage or casualties were reported.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude 6.4 quake struck at a depth of 7 kilometers (4.4 miles).
