M 6.4 earthquake in Southern California

A M 6.4 earthquake occurred in Southern California at 1:33pm Eastern Time today. The USGS report gives the location as 12 km southwest of Searles Valley, near Ridgecrest, at a depth of 10.7 km. Shaking was reported in Los Angeles, 150 miles away. There have been several aftershocks.
