COVID-19 Quick Reference Guide

The rapid rise of Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases presents new challenges as companies try to monitor and respond to this unforeseen risk. It requires marshalling various functions across an organization such as risk management, business continuity management, human resources and disaster recovery. Access to timely, actionable data is of paramount importance.

EigenPrism now provides a solution to:

  • Monitor confirmed case counts near specific assets (property, employees, other)
  • Monitor growth rates of new cases globally and see where the curve is steepening or flattening to inform response

The event footprints (confirmed case counts, growth rates) are available for use in EigenAlerts, EigenProfile reports, and in Exposure Analytics for complete analysis. Read on for instructions on how to receive automated notifications, generate impact reports and analyze exposures.

How do I receive automated notifications?

  • Step 1 – Login to EigenPrism. If you’re not an EigenPrism user, please contact us and we will set up a free account for you.
  • Step 2 – From the home page, navigate to the EigenAlert module (click the alarm bell on the left) and then click Manage Alerts; select an exposure to open the list of available event sets; scroll down until Social Risks appears; click the down arrow on the right hand side, then click the alarm bell beside each event set to enable alerts.

How do I generate Impact Summary Reports?

  • Step 1 – Login to EigenPrism. If you’re not an EigenPrism user, please contact us and we will set up a free account for you.
  • Step 2Click here to generate the impact report (or search for “SAMPLE Coronavirus Impact Summary – Most Recent” on the home page), click Manage > Copy to select your workspace and save with your own exposure.

Please note, as report templates update frequently, you will need to refresh the report by changing the Analysis Date. See instructions here (or here, if you do not have access to the Help Center).

  • The Impact Summary report will generate pages for both event sets (confirmed cases and growth rate), overlaid on your exposure. Share the new Impact Report by moving it to one of your workspaces, or download the report to pdf.

How do I analyze my exposure?

Click the following quick links – Confirmed Cases and Growth Rate – to overlay the event footprints as of March 22, 2020, on your exposure.
Please note, these links are time sensitive – to update, click the link, login to EigenPrism, and when the footprint appears, open the real-time event catalog using the alarm bell icon in the toolbar; the catalog will open with the list of available footprints; select the most recent and click apply.

To access the event footprints without following a quick link, follow these steps:
  • Step 1 – Login to EigenPrism. If you’re not an EigenPrism user, please contact us and we will set up a free account for you.
  • Step 2 – Select your workspace, then hover over the appropriate exposure; click on Analyze in the drop down menu. (Alternatively, navigate directly to the Exposure Analytics module by clicking on the Exposure Analytics icon in the vertical menu on the left hand side of the screen.)
  • Step 3 – Open the real-time catalog using the alarm bell icon in the toolbar; ensure the Sources filter is set to All Sources, then in the Perils filter, select Social Risks.
  • Step 4 – Select the event set from the menu and click apply to open the list of available event footprints; select the desired date (most recent appears first), then click apply to overlay the footprint on your exposure.
